Job Summary:
The Commercial Operations Engineer reports directly to the Service Manager. Working within the Commercial Operations Department of the Switchgear Services team, the role of the engineer is reviewing customers request for quotations and produce accurately detailed, price solutions. There will be a requirement to liaise with the customer to clarify requirements and provide customer support regarding the content of the provided quotations. The role will be initially focused on our spares, repairs, site visits and low complexity upgrades, leading to high complexity upgrades, major repairs, retrofit circuit breaker solutions and heritage switchgear extension panels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing customers enquiries for Spares and Service opportunities and associated terms and conditions and provide a priced solution.
- Support Key Account Managers during enquiry processes
- Co-ordinate enquiry and hand over on receipt of order with the Service Commercial team.
- Occasionally be required to support the sales team and therefore make site visits to progress / finalise tender quotations.
- Assist in effective management and development of enquiry processes and systems.
- Become conversant with both core new build and heritage product portfolio for BRUSH Switchgear.
- Develop knowledge of heritage products, bill of material structures and archive records.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Must be competent with Microsoft Word / Excel tools
- Confident communications skills – for telephone calls, Teams meetings and email etiquette.
- Experience and understanding of Brush manufactured products would be highly advantageous
