Job Summary: McGowan Environmental Engineering Ltd, an Aviemore based company which specialises in undertaking environmental type
projects in remote rural locations, including national parks, moorland, & high ground, throughout Scotland & Ireland.
Due to an increased workload, we currently require a full-time Environmental Operative to join our busy close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a small team constructing hand build upland paths
- Undertaking manual related works on peatland restoration projects
- Assisting plant operators on machine build path & estate track construction
- Assisting in pedestrian bridge and boardwalk installations
- Undertaking ground reinstatement works to a high standard
- Providing assistance during project helicopter operations
- Undertaking bespoke stonework i.e. drystone walling
- Follow Site Rules, and company procedures when undertaking your duties and work in a safe manner
- Adhere to Line Manager & Site Supervisor instructions at all times
- Inform your Site Supervisor or Line Manager of any accidents, incidents or near misses.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Full driving licence desirable
- Previous experience of working within similar rural type environments highly desirable
- CSCS Labourer or equivalent health and safety training desirable
- First Aid Training is desirable.
- Must be reliable and a good timekeeper
- Ideally, the candidate should be physically fit and like working outdoors and/or undertaking outdoor activities throughout
the year
- Be able to demonstrate ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team
- A willingness to work away from home during the working week when required on further afield client projects.
Subsistence is provided and accommodation arrangements organised by the company
- A willingness to work overtime and/or weekends when required to ensure company project programmes are met
- Must be willing to attend company organised training courses, to ensure continued competence of staff and ultimately,
meeting employee personal development aspirations
