CAD Design Engineer
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a CAD Design Engineer to join our Transformers engineering team in Loughborough.
Role Responsibility
- Prepare transformer manufacturing instructions and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Liaise with Electrical & Mechanical Designers to complete the task.
- Produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, 2D & 3D Autodesk inventor CAD system etc.
- Liaise with staff in other departments to complete the desired task.
- Maintain and update internal manufacturing databases.
- Prepare Engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications or Functional Experience
- A recognised qualification. These can include:
- HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Recognised apprenticeship would be of advantage.
Knowledge/Skills
- Previous CAD (2D&3D) system experience is must, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- Significant and proven expertise in the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
