Principal Product Development Engineer

What's the role? 

Oversees and manages product development projects in line with the business strategy. It implies management of project budget and team. In addition, the product development lead support the support the department manager in formulating the product development project proposals.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Project planning and interface with other functions,
• Leading product development projects for the relevant product portfolio,
• Leading design and development of new products,
• Coordinate simulation and mathematic calculation for reducing test cost (FEA, mechanical, electromagnetic, thermal...)
• Coordinating the DFMEA meetings with other functions,
• Releasing draft of standard operating procedures for production of new products,
• Releasing of O&M and installation manual for the new products,
• Coordinating the design engineer work,

What we’re looking for: 

• Bachelor’s degree level in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Discipline
• Preferrable Chartered Engineer and member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IMechE, IET)
•  Good IT skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Proved experience in 3d CAD modelling (SolidWorks).
• Proven experience on FEA tools (Comsol or ANSYS)
