Temporary Works Coordinator

Job Introduction

As the Temporary Works Coordinator, you will support the project teams to ensure all civils works across the portfolio are carried our safely using the correct techniques and delivered to the desired quality.

Reporting to the Construction Manager you will be part of the site leadership team and so expected to help to develop and coach the teams under your control. You will adhere to the company values and help to enhance the company’s reputation for quality by portraying the company in a positive light to all stakeholders.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in strict adherence to all of the project / company / client requirements and procedures.
  • Providing effective supervision to all ongoing construction site / project activities by being familiar with all areas of the project, such as structural drawings, designs, and deadlines.
  • Ensuring that all parties involved in a site / project execute their various assigned tasks as they are supposed to, and also examine and/or inspect work completed and ongoing works periodically.
  • Expected to identify and solve any problem that may arise during the construction process.
  • On all construction sites, safety must be a priority, which implies that the supervisor must make sure that all activities being performed follow the CDM regulations, address environmental issues, and strictly comply with local authority requirements.
  • Liaising with Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase.
  • Receiving, managing and issuing drawings for construction at site level, checking construction meets the requirements of design.
  • Working with the Team Leaders to ensure delivery on site is done safely, efficiently and is compliant.
  • Overseeing, co-ordinating and managing all completions.
  • Managing sub-contractor onsite activities.
  • Managing internal direct reports for Construction team.
  • Providing input into design reviews as and when required.
  • Plan in advance, provision of all documentation, resources, tools, materials, consumables H&S equipment and transport, to ensure safe and efficient construction. Demonstrate this planning by providing a 1-week and 3-week lookahead.
  • Managing and co-ordinating site Acceptance Testing as required.
  • Managing the delivery of all ‘As-Built’ documentation throughout the onsite phases.
  • Completing site audits and inspections when required, ensuring the highest standard of quality is maintained.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required to write and submit reports, proposals, and also communicate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organisational and project management skills, ensure that construction projects are carried out efficiently within budget and time constraints.
  • Several years of work experience in a relevant position/industry.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator Certificate.
