Test Engineer
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our growing Transformers business in Loughborough.
The successful candidate will carry out the accurate testing of BRUSH Transformers products and associated control equipment in line with appropriate guidelines, tolerances and Health & Safety Legislation.
Role Responsibility
- Electrical testing of high voltage products & components in accordance with the process specification
- Carrying out testing of transformers as per the International standards
- Testing of all control equipment related to the high voltage products and produces all associated documentation.
- Preparation and wiring of Transformer components for testing in accordance with Process Specification.
- Complete and maintain Test Record sheets.
- Ensuring all instruments used for testing are in calibration.
- Required to liaise with internal/external stakeholders, which may include external customers witnessing tests.
- Assure compliance of components to drawing, design specification, mechanical and/or electrical test acceptance criteria through test or calculation.
- Raise non-conformance record for all non-compliant components, including any required sign off.
- Electrical fault finding/investigations as required by design or production.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone with proven knowledge of Transformers and / or generators & associated equipment.
You will also have the following·
Minimum qualifications, approved apprenticeship scheme, NVQ Level 3 or ONC/D in Electrical (Preferred) or Mechanical Engineering, although candidates with lesser qualifications but with proven suitable experience will also be considered.
Working with control systems & hand held/manual metering.
Working to process specifications/engineering drawings.
Safe working in a HV environment.
Good appreciation of machines and their operation and control.
