Stores Team Leader

Job Introduction

BRUSH Transformers are currently seeking a Stores Team Leader to join us in Loughborough. The Team Leader will ensure stores / warehouse productivity targets are met and oversee the maintenance of warehouse and labour management systems. The successful candidate will manage the warehouse team, processes and systems. They will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

Role Responsibility

Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, picking, kitting and dispatch of goods

Reorganize the warehouse to ensure efficient utilization of space and mechanical handling equipment, ensuring quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met

Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules

Enhance performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) generation and management, attendance and handovers.

Generate picking lists and picking plans, and ensure on time execution of kitting plan

Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy

Planning future capacity requirements

Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Maintaining and updating stores VDB including shortage reports

Communicating daily with Team Leaders/Senior Managers regarding any issues that may arise within the warehouse.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience in transforming stores / warehouse operations, including design of new warehouse.

Proven experience of leading a team of warehouse operatives.

Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

A good knowledge of Health and Safety in a warehouse and distribution environment.

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing.

Computer Literate in Microsoft office and ERP systems.
