Site Technician
Job Introduction
A great opportunity for a Site Technician has arisen working with the Site Services Department, reporting directly to the Site Services Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation of BRUSH Switchgear throughout the UK whilst ensuring that Switchgear is repaired, maintained, or installed as per BRUSH standards and Specifications. This will involve working on new as well as heritage BRUSH Switchgear products throughout the UK.
Please note that this role is working throughout the UK and will be field based.
Role Responsibility
- Taking the lead role at site for BRUSH when liaising with our customers, when required.
- Undertaking all the Electrical and Mechanical duties involved with maintenance, repairs, and installation of BRUSH Switchgear.
- Carrying out investigations at site relating to quality or client switchgear failures.
- Holding safety documents to allow BRUSH Engineers undertake work on isolated and earthed Switchgear.
- Upholding the company’s values and commitments.
- Advising clients with technical issues they may encounter.
- Providing comprehensive reports of technically issues encountered whilst carrying out duties.
- Carrying out SF6 Gassing works.
- Reading, understanding BRUSH Engineering Drawings.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the installation and testing requirements of Switchgear products. To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of working on DNO HV Systems/ Substations and extensive experience on a diverse range of HV/HV switchgear installations. You will also have a strong Electrical or Mechanical Background with an Apprenticeship or with HNC.
Please note that this role will be field based and expected to be away from home for periods of the week.
