Senior Tendering and Commercial Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Job Introduction
We have an opening for a Senior Tendering and Commercial Manager to join our Tendering department based in Loughborough, Leicestershire or Blackwood, South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, designing and implementing tendering policies and procedures across BRUSH Power Distribution.
This position will involve travelling to our office in Blackwood, South Wales or Loughborough, Leicestershire (depending on the candidates base location).
Please note that this position is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.
Role Responsibility
- Reviewing current processes and proposing and implementing best practice solutions to be adopted going forwards.
- Implementing consistent KPIs across the Power Distribution teams to drive an understanding of success rates.
- Working across the organisation to communicate and share learning from bid outcomes which assist in improvement and lessons learned analysis.
- Bid project mobilisation and delivery from end-to-end.
- Ensuring the Bids team is integrated within the wider business and able to develop. secure, strong and communicative relationships throughout the departments
- Working closely with the business development team to respond to new opportunities.
- Analysing progress and delivering reports to stakeholders.
- A clear and thorough communication style and flair both verbally and in written form
- Ability to handle challenge and work effectively under pressure.
- Working with the Sales Managers to provide further information as required.
The Ideal Candidate
Skills & Experience:
- Change management experience
- Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects on time.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the business development team and other internal experts to ensure “win strategy” solution is always captured.
- Experience of successfully delivering bids, from early inception and client information capture, through PQQ and ITT stage, onto client interviews, feedback and lessons learnt.
- Experience of structured bid processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels and in all forums from one-to-ones to group workshops and facilitation.
- Ability to maximise the use of tools such as Office365, MS Project, CRM, and industry recognised sales techniques such as Miller Heiman and Huthwaites.
- Experience liaising with external and internal contacts at a range of levels.
- Commercial acumen / understanding.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
