Job Introduction
To lead the development of a London office including management of the operational team, securing work, and project delivery.
- Manage development of a regional office.
- Meeting Measurable turnover and profit targets.
- Business growth in line with company targets.
- The role reports to the Managing Director and Directors.
- The position has overall responsibility for all members of staff within the specific regional office or team.
Role Responsibility
- Turnover and profitability targets
- Report to the Directors on business projections and pipeline
- Reporting on profitability of individual projects
- Preparation of fee proposal documents, bids and fee calculations
- Management of technically sound and commercial engineering solutions
- Delivery of major projects
- Ensure satisfaction for existing and new clients
- Anticipate and pursue further business opportunities
- Taking a pro-active role in marketing the business
- Bringing new clients to the business
- Reinforcing company reputation and profile within industry
- Liaise and communicate with group peers
- Represent Rybka at corporate events and functions
- Research, development and innovation
- Liaison on all issues relating HR and training
- Motivate and retain staff and work to attract good staff
- Appraise and update the Directors on market conditions
- Raise the profile of Rybka in the market place
- Facilitate and encourage pro-active inter office and Group working
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong technical skills with full awareness of mechanical and electrical building services and the interrelationship of MEP systems with Architecture and structural/civil engineering
- Proven background in the industry and track record of career progression and project success.
- Experience of construction projects across various sectors
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of operating in an ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Appreciation and experience of the Technical Standards and relevant British Standards.
- Strong teamwork, communication and time management skills
- Strong marketing and business development skills
- Strong financial management skills
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and low carbon design.
- Knowledge of Planning legislative requirements
- Degree educated in an Engineering Discipline with Chartered Engineer status from an industry recognised body. Parties with alternative relevant skills, experience, and qualifications will be considered
