Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Coordinator

Job Introduction

We have a great opportunity for a Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Coordinator to join the Quality department at Blackwood, South Wales. The successful candidate will facilitate the day-to-day operations and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Compliance and Senior Quality Engineer in operational aspects.
  • Assist in collating data to maintain ISO 9001/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) certification, also but not limited to, Achilles and ENA.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain processes required for the quality management system.
  • Collection of weekly and monthly KPI information.
  • Delivery of information for month end reporting.
  • Manage the CAPA system.
  • Assist with the processing of warranty claims and maintaining the quality event system.
  • Documentation Control as per ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Liaise with external bodies on matters of certification.
  • Raise purchase requisitions to ensure payment of certification bodies and relevant subscriptions.
  • Assist with the management of the Internal and external audit programme.
  • Review and collate Internal Audit documentation on submission from internal Auditors.
  • Generate appropriate actions from external audits.
  • Assist in the development of the Integrated Management System (Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality).
  • Continuous improvement of company compliance.
  • Document all reported safety improvement opportunities (SIO).
  • Deputise the Compliance Engineer in their absence, to include supervision of other team members.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Qualified and experienced internal or lead auditor (Desirable).
  • Quality management experience (Desirable).

Skills & Experience: 

  • A good understanding of fundamental manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in similar role.
  • Quality management systems knowledge (Desirable).
