Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Introduction

Reporting to the Area Operations Manager (AOM), the Manufacturing Supervisor will be accountable for the day to day performance of a manufacturing cell, ensuring effective and efficient performance of the team members within the required parameters of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Role Responsibility

Liaise with the Area Operations Manager to develop a weekly and daily production plan that will satisfy the Sales plan and therefore customer requirements.

Manage the plan to ensure KPIs of quality, cost and delivery are met, developing recovery plans when variance occurs

Report on performance, highlighting issues and causes of variance to plan.

Initiate corrective actions related to losses and quality defects in the cell and input to the QE process where appropriate.

Effectively manage team members to ensure efficient utilisation of labour.

The Ideal Candidate

Proven management experience in a manufacturing environment in lean based environments such as automotive supply or aerospace for external candidates.

Experience of working in a Lean based environment using tools such as 5S, 5 Whys and various problem-solving techniques.

Strong leadership attributes and a willingness to take accountability

Wiling to support the values of openness, transparency and constructive collaboration.

The attitude and will to want to make a difference and to support other team members

Self-motivated with positive attitude to meet deadlines and work schedules
