IT Support Analyst

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Analyst to join our Business Processes department at BRUSH. The successful candidate will support the BRUSH IT Strategy within the service delivery and cyber security area. You will also be responsible for providing end user support in relation to service delivery, cyber incidents, defining polices and project support for infrastructure projects.

Please note that this position can be based in any of our UK offices based in the following locations:

  • Leicestershire (Ashby-de-la-Zouch or Loughborough)
  • South Wales (Blackwood)
  • Cambridgeshire (Eaton Socon)

Role Responsibility

  • Support relating to incidents raised by users
  • Technical trouble shooting skills and knowledge
  • Perform remote troubleshooting for end users
  • Provide accurate information on IT products and services
  • Assist in the creation of training manuals
  • Documentation of IT processes and policies
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
  • Assist in the investigation of security alerts and provide incident response
  • Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users
  • Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
  • Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security
  • Monitor and respond to 'phishing' emails and 'pharming' activity
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues
  • Give advice and guidance to staff on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emails

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Degree of equivalent

Skills & Experience: 

  • End user support
  • Cyber/information/network security
  • Computer science
  • MS Azure/Cloud
  • Hybrid On-Prem/Cloud Infrastructure
  • Computing and Information Systems
  • Software/Electrical/Network engineering
  • Experience with hybrid environments including on-premises and cloud services
  • Experience of documenting processes, standard operating procedures & work instructions
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT Strategy and infrastructure, Information Management and Governance and IT Security
  • Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows, MS Office and MS Project
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaboratively solve complex problem
