HR Business Partner

Job Introduction

Act as a strategic partner with the MD, and senior leadership team, defining growth plans whilst also being able to operate transactionally to drive and implement agreed.  Partner with senior leaders and management teams to define and implement the people and organisational strategy, enabling the business to deliver its financial and growth plans.

Work alongside the business in order to provide first class HR support with regards to the full employee lifecycle, including resourcing and talent planning, learning and talent development, performance and reward, employee engagement, employee relations, organisation design and development, and service delivery.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide the strategic link between HR and management, through the provision of high-quality support, advice and guidance.
  • Drive a culture of high performance, continuously reviewing processes and procedures where necessary.
  • Provide creative and innovative solutions for the MD and Senior team during a period of growth in an under resourced market.
  • Partner with managers in the recruitment process, defining short, mid and long term resource plans and developing internal talent.
  • Be an active and influential player, enabling the effective diagnosis of people issues and developing effective people management solutions.
  • Provide employee relations advice to managers with practical support and overseeing end to end ER casework.
  • Support the development and implementation of the rewards strategy, ensuring employee compensation and benefits are aligned with current and future business need.
  • Support business transformation through effective change management and engaging internal communication.
  • Challenge, provoke and coach managers to engage employees and build effective people capabilities.
  • Drive performance management through the effective use of the Company goal setting and performance management process, ensuring corrective strategies are defined and implemented.
  • Support the identification and fulfilment of development and training needs so that the Company has the desired capability and competencies for future growth.
  • Provide input and guidance on organisation structure and job design to help ensure the organisation is efficient and can adapt to changing business needs.
  • Deliver HR and Business projects, as and when required by the HR Director and senior management.

The Ideal Candidate

  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience of working in a generalist role, with a broad and strong knowledge of employment law and how it can be effectively applied.
  • Senior stakeholder management experience – communicates, challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders across the organisation effectively.
  • IT literate, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and computerised HRIS; Comfortable analysing and presenting HR data to stakeholders.
  • Is client-focused and commercially astute with the ability to learn and understand the business unit, the context and markets in which they operate and their P&L. Able to converse, challenge and add value on business matters.
  • An ambitious, energetic and dedicated individual, with a passion for driving positive people-related changes.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Willing to travel within the UK.
