Finance Manager

Job Introduction

The Finance Manager position is key to support the Brush Switchgear business from all aspects of manufacturing, services, and site finance, providing accurate and meaningful information to drive business strategy and support key decisions of the Management Team.

Role Responsibility

Member of the site leadership team

  • Socialise Financial performance to the Local leadership team,
  • Conduct the Product Line forecasting processes and present to the Group leadership,
  • Challenge and support all investment decisions, approve cost commitments,
  • Share financial information from the Commercial Operations to the manufacturing processes

Finance leadership

  • Contribute to the monthly financial closing processes,
  • Perform Revenue and Margin analysis of our varied product range of New Build and Services,
  • Contribute to P&L and Balance sheet reviews,
  • Relationship with external auditors,

Cash & cost management

  • Manage a robust cash management process and forecast modelling,
  • Identifying key cost drivers and implementing cost reduction solutions with the team,
  • Working capital management; Inventory and Debtors as main focus,
  • Functional Costs control management as well as the management of overhead absorption, calculation of hourly labour rates for the functions

Ad-hoc projects, and initiatives, such as outsourcing, ERP deployments

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualified

Skills

  • Modelling skills
  • Inventory management and valuation
  • Hourly cost per hour, Over/Under recovery mechanism
  • Advanced Excel
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Process driven, continuous improvement

Experience

  • Experience in large manufacturing corporation is essential.
  • Previous experience at senior finance level
  • 10 years’ experience
  • Financial Modelling
