Commissioning Engineer - Transformers
Job Introduction
This is a home-based position where the individual could be located anywhere in the UK.
We are currently seeking a Trainee Transformer Commissioning Engineer to carry out on-site commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance, inspections, repairs and modification of BRUSH’s range of Transformer and Tapchanger products across our UK and overseas clients.
Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will need to be able to undertake extensive UK site working, in addition to attending sites both offshore and overseas, often for protracted periods.
You will ideally have undertaken a recognised Technical apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering and some knowledge of Tapchangers and/or Transformers, full training will however be provided. Ideally the successful candidate will hold a minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer, comfortable dealing with customers and the engineering challenges that the site has. This is a challenging and important role requiring a high degree of technical competence with a corresponding level of self-sufficiency and resourcefulness, as global time differences often mean that factory support is not immediately available.
You will be self-sufficient, resourceful and a problem solver, with the ability to demonstrate strength of character and high levels of energy.
You will also be an effective communicator, fluent in both spoken and written English.
