Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a CAD Design Engineer to join our Transformers engineering team in Loughborough.

Role Responsibility

• Prepare transformer manufacturing instructions and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Liaise with Electrical & Mechanical Designers to complete the task.
• Produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, 2D & 3D Autodesk inventor CAD system etc.
• Liaise with staff in other departments to complete the desired task.
• Maintain and update internal manufacturing databases.
• Prepare Engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications or Functional Experience

• A recognised qualification. These can include:
• HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Recognised apprenticeship would be of advantage.

Knowledge/Skills

• Previous CAD (2D&3D) system experience is must, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Significant and proven expertise in the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
