Apprenticeship - Machinist

Job Introduction

Brush Americas is looking for an energetic applicant who wants to become an essential part of our Operations team.  We are looking for an individual interested in taking part in a Pennsylvania Department of Labor Certified Apprentice Program for Machining. 

Role Responsibility

Applicants will learn to operate industrial related equipment, work with manufacturing related tools, and perform work processes related to a wide variety of manufacturing settings.  Training also includes learning to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.  Apprentice training will also include various other tasks relating to winding coils, electrical testing, assembly and disassembly of rotors, exciters and stators.  You will also learn to develop and improve processes and schedules to meet customer requirements.

You will need to be someone who is focused and results driven with an ability to work under pressure and can meet critical deadlines.  This individual needs to have the ability to learn to analyze issues and generate solutions to resolve problems, increase productivity, and who can work efficiently with a methodical approach and an eye for detail.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone to enter into our Certified Apprenticeship Program who is able to follow and adhere to the program expectations.  The program includes a required number of online, classroom and on-the-job training hours over an 18 month period.
